Coffee Shop Barricade

It has been a tiring one month or so. I was busy with my brother's wedding, then some unfortunate things happened so was busy with that. I had to entertain my Australian relatives for a month, who were here for the wedding as well. Was their local tour guide...shopping, dining, visiting...and the outcome...I'm 4 kgs heavier. Now that I'm a bit free, I'm back with the 1st post for December.

I was at the Vinayagar temple consecration ceremony yesterday. As all temples do, there were many barricades and volunteers. It's a norm for temples to do so to prevent people from rushing into the temple after the ceremony. However what irked me was a vounteer who did not us into a coffeeshop. He said that we could not use it as it was near the temple. There were many others who demanded how could he do such a thing. He couldn't give a proper reply. What pissed me further was that he allowed Chinese people to access the coffeeshop. Below is an excerpt of the conversation:

Dad: Why are you not allowing us?
Volunteer: You cannot enter the temple...You've to wait for your turn.
Sav: But we're going to the coffeeshop not to the temple. Besides they're more barricades after the coffeeshop. We can't climb over it.
Volunteer: No sir, you cannot go from here.
Indian Man: This is Bullshit! Cannot have Kopi?

Volunteer allows 3 chinese people into the coffeeshop

Indian Man: Enna la Nee??? They can drink Kopi....not me ah?
Volunteer: No la sir....You have to wait for your turn.
Dad: Thambi...We want to have coffee, you don't believe us...follow us and see.

Volunteer allows us in.

30 minutes later, we pass by the volunteer after having coffee.

Dad: We already had our coffee, thanks.
Volunteer: I respect you sir, you did not enter the temple.
Sav: Huh? He still dun...
Mum: Saravana...Let's go.
